Five Months Old!

1/21/2010

I can't believe how fast my baby is growing up!  She is changing everyday!  It is just so amazing to watch her learn!  She has started reaching for things now and has become a "Grabby Gus"!  =0)  She trys to grab whatver she can get her hands on, and the first thing she does it put whatever it is, in her mouth!  She even tgrabs her spoon when we are trying to feed her because she trys to feed herself!  Crazy baby!  But we love her none-the-less!

Back to the topic of food...  Jocelyn loves eating her solid foods!  She gets super excited when we put her in her high chair and she gets really mad if you don't get her her food fast enough!  So far she's had rice cereal, oatmeal cereal, rutabaga, parsnip, carrots, and butternut squash, and we have some sweet potatoes ready and waiting for her to try this week!  So far she has loves everything, except the rutabaga gave her really bad gas and she was up all night, so she hasn't gotten it since, and parsnip she just wasn't excited about eating like she was with everything else!  Oh well!

Well, her next appointment will be on February 22nd, and I can't wait to find out how much she has grown since her last appointment!

Jocelyn's Jammies!

1/20/2010

Jocelyn looked so darn cute in her jammies with her Boppy and toys , and belly sticking out, on the couch, so I HAD to take pictures!

Well hello there!

Hey, get back here!

What Mom?

I love you Boppy!

So comfy!

1st Trip to the Zoo!

1/18/2010

Today we went to the zoo!  I haven't been in so long, and since it was a gorgeous day and a free day, we called up our friends Ginny and Lydia, and headed to the zoo!  And boy was it packed!  A free day at the zoo and Martin Luther King day don't mix well!  =0)  Even though there was a ton of people, we still had fun!  My friend Christina, her daughters, and sister-in-law even decide to meet us!  I'm sure Jocelyn had no idea what was going on, and I'm sure she couldn't even see any of the animals, but She thought the croweded pond of ducks and geese was pretty cool!  I think we'll wait and go again when she is bigger and can enjoy herself more!  And I think if we go on a free day again, we will make sure not to go on a holiday!

Jocelyn is a Model!

1/16/2010

Jocelyn is a model!  Our favorite place to buy our cloth diapers and other baby gear is opening a store, and to decorate they wanted pictures of their loyal customers in their favorite eco-POLITAN gear!  Jocelyn wore her famous pink bow, and her favorite pink diaper to match!  She looked so cute and the pictures turned out great!  I will post them soon after we get them!

To see Jocelyn on the wall, eco-POLITAN's grand opening will be on Saturday, January 30th from 11am-7pm.  They are located at Belmar in Lakwood, on the SouthWest corner of Alameda and Wadsworth, between Bath and Body Works, and the James Harding Siding Company!  They plan on having a whole bunch of speakers, prizes and the new biodegradable ecoPOLITAN waterbottle will be free with any purchase of $30 or more!  I am really excited!  We definitley plan on going, so if anyone else wants to go, let me know and we will make a group date of it to!

Zonked!

1/16/2010

I was busy in the kitchen and Jim had things to work on with his computer, so we put Jocelyn in her jumper to entertain herself for a little while.  The next thing we knew she was bent over and OUT!  For the first time she completely crashed on her own without any sort of fussiness!  Jim and I are still completely shocked!

Loungin' Time!

1/15/2010

After a good morning workout, Jocelyn and I decided to lounge and watch Baby Einstein for a little while.  I proped her up with her boppy and she played the lounge role very well!

Ahh What's Up Doc?

1/5/2010

Jocelyn's eating carrots!  Today was the first day that we've given her anyhting besides formula and rice cereal, but she loved it!  I made it myself, complementary of my dad who gave us a babyfood cookbook for Christmas!  It was so easy!  It is just steamed/mashed carrots with water and a little bit of her formula mixed in!  She sure made a mess, but it was so much fun watching her get so excited about eating in her high chair!  Love it! We will  keep giving her carrots for about a week before we introduce another veggie, most likely potatoes!

Baby's First Christmas!

12/24/09 - 12/25/09

Jocelyn had a wonderful first Christmas!  We spent Christmas Eve Day at her Great-Grandparents house!  I'm not sure if she really had any idea what was going on, but she was really interested in what I was doing when I was opening her presents!  Then on Christmas Day we spent half the day at home opening our own gifts, then the other half of the day visiting with my dad and brother, then with my mom, Dan and his daughter Taylor, and my brother and his girlfriend Paige!  We sure had fun, but I doubt Jocelyn will remember her First Christmas!
