12 Month Check-Up

We had Jocelyn's 12 month appointment today, and the only bad thing the doctor had to say was about Jocelyn's labial adhesions... we need to crack down about puttting her cream and vasaline on every diaper change... and she said Jocelyn should have already been in her convertible car seat already. She also gave the OK to switch over to whole milk 100%! She said not to worry about the next step formulas because they are just out there to make the companies more money, but she said to keep some formula for like when we go out since it's hard to keep milk cold, (which was our line of thinking anyway, so yeah).


Jocelyn weighed in at 19 pounds, 3oz which is 22% and measured in at 29 inches which is 50%, so she is tall and skinny! =0) She also had her toe pricked to have her iron checked and also got her 3 shots. We will be going back in October for her to get her 1st flu shot. her 2nd flu shot will be at the end of November when she has her 15 month check up!

Jocelyn's 1st Birthday Party

What a day!  Jocelyn had a super first birthday party!  Although she didn't like being in either of the swimming pools we had out, I know she had so much fun splashing the water and seeing all of her friends!  She especially loved eating her birthday cake that Grandma made her with her birthday hat on!  I think all of us were shocked that she kept it on for as long as she did!  I guess cousin Zana did a good job at putting it on!  Thank you to everyone who was able to join our celebration!  It truly menat alot to Jim and I, and I'm Jocelyn loved having you there too!

12 Months Old!

One year ago today my beautiful baby girl was born!  Boy does time fly!  She started her day by sleeping in until 9, then Dad and I took her swimming, and then we took her to the Morgan Adams Concours even to finish the night!

She had so much fun swimming!  We took her to our community pool and most played in the little kid section, which she loved!  She had fun walking in the water and purposely dunked herself a few times just so she could drink the water!  I'm so glad we started her swimming lessons early because now she has no fear of the water!  Swimming wore her out thogh, and after a quick shower she went down for a nap and slept for a good 2 hours before we had to wake her up to get ready to head to Centennial airport for our event!

When we got there, we had fun walking around and looking at all the fancy cars and planes, and enjoyed the the ice cream and yummy food!  Jocelyn's favorite was the creme brulee!  Then after the silent and loud auctions were over, Jocelyn joined me on stage to give away my award for the favorite plane of the night!  The finny thing is that she did not wan to give that award up and had a death grip on it!  =0)

All in all, I think she had a great first birthday!  I'd like to say that it will be one she will never forget, but I know the chances of that are slim to non!  At least Jim and I will remember it though!

August Hike!

Today we headed up to South Valley Park for a hike with our Colorado Mountain Mamas!  It was gorgeous and the weather was perfect with the overcast!  Jocelyn didn't like getting in the pack, but once we got moving she enjoyed looking around!  She even patted my should a couple times... I'd like to think that she was telling me i was doing a good job!  =0)

Another Zoo Day!

Today we headed out to the zoo with our friends Ginny and Lydia, Becki and Juliet, & Leanna and Alaina!  Luckily it didn't get oo hot until when we were leaving!

Today after getting pictures taken, we headed over to Jocelyn's friend's first birthday party at the water-park!  It was alot of fun, and Jocelyn really enjoyed crawling around in the water with her friends!

Summer Hike!

I've been wanting to go on a hike for awhile and today was finally the day!  Joey and I headed up to Conifer with some other moms and babies from our Colorado Mountain Mamas group for a gorgeous hike at Flying J Ranch Park!  The weather was perfect, not too hot and not too cold!  Plus we were able to test out our new baby carrier!  I love it, and I think Jocelyn did too because she didn't make a peep the whole hike!  After the hike we enjoyed a nice quiet mountain picnic lunch before heading home!  It was a great day in the great outdoors!

Trip to Belleview Park

7/29/10

Today we met our friends Becki and Juliet at Belleview Park and had alot of fun!  First we went in the petting zoo.  It started out good until Joey got freaked out when we passed the turkey that was pacing and gobbling!  After that, the only thing she was worried about was the turkey, so we left.  Next, we headed over to the train!  It was crazy busy so we had to wait in line for a long time, but I think she really enjoyed her first train ride!  When we were done, we had fun playing in the grass!

Today we headed down to Parker for some playtime at Little Monkey Bizness!  It's a cafe/huge play area where the little ones can play and have fun, while moms and dads can sit back and enjoy themselves too!  Joey had alot of playing with all her friends!  Lydia, Juliet, Miles, and Jayden were all there!  Her favorite part was playing with all the balls, but she had a lot of fun bouncing on the trampoline, crawling through the tunnel, and playing with the activity table!  We can't wait to go back!
